During 2022, the council started updating its promoted cycle route blueprints for Ampthill and Flitwick, Biggleswade, Potton and Sandy, Dunstable and Houghton Regis, Arlesey, Henlow, Fairfield and Stotfold and Leighton Linslade. The update has been triggered by the introduction of much higher standard for the provision of pedestrian and cycle infrastructure. The aim is to move quickly to an environment where most local trips are cycled or walked.

The route map for the locations above have now been adopted and we'd like your comments on whether the rural routes we are suggesting are the right ones, or if not, what needs to change and why.

With your help and input, we can connect our smaller towns and villages with the larger conurbations. Making it possible to travel actively throughout Central Bedfordshire.

Below is a link to the adopted LCWIPS, as these have already been consulted on and adopted, we will not be taking any comments on these areas.
